J -- No way I would try to keep track of all the Thermo's... I don't think even ThermoElectron can.. Agree that value investors would have to shy away from Rambus...just as they would from AOL, MSFT or QWST at compararable stages.. For those with a more eclectic investment approach, however, the future for RMBS is a virtually certainty, much as for QCOM in the CDMA wireless arena.
But eclectics like value stocks...especially those which might meet the "Hot List" criteria for a possible double in 24 months.. So, what do you have of a "value" orientation that would fit?
Apparently the small cap value funds are finding many of them (and I hold a few such funds, having learned how well they can perform)..
Lots of ways to do well in the market, and "mindless growth" isn't one of them... but growth works for me often enough to tolerate the occasional "disaster du jour". Are you against a growth concept entirely, Jeffrey?.. and if so, what caused the aversion, if I may inquire? TSO
