Kind of off the subject, but could someone please explain to me what the "bidsize" and "asksize" on real time quotes indicates? Is the bidsize the amount of orders in the system to buy or sell at that price level? Can it sometimes give an indication as to which direction the stock price will take in the very short term? The bid and ask (size) can fluctuate so drastically in a short period of time I have a hard time determining what it actually means. Thanks in advance for any response. C.C.
