I agree that many of us can use a mass marketed ecommerce package. I personally use Netscape Livewire and a Cybercash API to build ecommerce site for small to medium sized companies and individuals. But I feel Connect has focused on the higher-end. What Connect has produced is far more than most of us need but extremely nice for integrated WEB-Commerce. Their product may seem overpriced, but I disagree. This business is growing at a frantic pace. The ability to tap into this market will quickly return the 100K investment in the software. I have customers, ex. (local sweater factory) paying 10K annually to have an end to end solution for ecommerce. They see ecommerce as automation, and an untapped revenue resource. They selected a local company(us) to evaluate the web for ecommerce. We used them to develop our software and we both benefited. Now if this small local company is forward minded enough to see the potential then surely larger companies realize the benefit of selecting a national company like connect to handle their ecommerce. I feel when large companies get SMART and start thinking of what it costs to do it themselves and support it, they will consider Connect. I know from first hand experience what a pain it is to support a very comprehensive ecommerce package.

Sorry, but you asked for a response.
