Hi everyone I'm trying to keep up with this board but really don't have that much time to read all the posts so please try to respond to me Its a well known fact that AMD and CYRIX chips are much better then the INTC chips can someone explain how can this be, INTC with deep pockets and so much money in R&D cant they do as good as the people who are cloning there chips? maybe INTC should start cloning AMD chips? Yes I agree that having a better chip alone is not that big a threth to INTC cause INTC has spend billions on advertising the INTEL INSIDE logo so people trust INTEL but I would like to point out that the now that CPQ and other vendors have taken AMD chips is a very negative development for INTC, WHY? because from my understanding before CPQ took AMD chips no one I knew would even touch a K6 cause it was a unknown name for the avereage guy on the street, but now after COMPAQ has it in their models i truly belive it has given for AMD the stamp that no one could give them, it has pushed up AMD's name to a level where k6 can compete with PENTIUM II (I'm not talking in doller terms but in respectebility) in other words K6 was not in one leauge with PENTUM till now but now it is sure it remains to see if AMD can pump up its volume but I think that without a doubt that AMD is much more a threat to INTC now then it was a year ago can anyone please respond and share his toughts with me and if anyone in here knows why cant INTC have a chip as good as AMD please respnd P.S. I know that we have alot of smart people in here cause I saw the article in SMARTMONEY so maybe I can find a good ansewr BTW I'm a INTC shareholder
