Friday April 3, 7:05 pm Eastern Time Company Press Release SOURCE: Mercury Finance Company Mercury States Disclosure Policy CHICAGO, April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Mercury Finance Company (NYSE: MFN - news) stated today that it is Company policy not to make comments or predictions about monthly earnings results. Mercury also said that the Company does not comment on third-party news stories purporting to give the views of Company representatives on financial results before the results have been formally released. The Company expects to release its first quarter 1998 financial results in a timely manner. Does anybody know what were these "third-party news stories"?
