It has gotten out of hand. Simply we have no idea until the year 2000 if these rumors are true. Honestly, I doubt that they are. But it is a rumor that can't hurt to follow up on. I only had to wait on one line (Northfield), I went on Sunday and waited for 1/2 hour. The rest of the banks I have already and just went in to make deposits. The tellers at Northfield were laughing at the lines, saying there is no way we are going public, Maspeth was the same thing..we will know shortly.

Hi,

With all the Hype for everyone to jump on the same banwagon, will mean less and less allocations for the depositors, the Banks will link one's balance to the amount deserved and may even add new requirements for the loyal depositors years back.

We should be planning the second WAVE which is the buyouts and most
likely more money to be made. Eventually buyouts will happen. In the case of ICBC I only receive 1/3 allocation, the other 2/3's money went
for nothing and I lost investment opportunity of that money. Therefore my point is to begin investing in the Bank's that can be taken over, and the amount of stock you can buy at market is not limited.

Too many experts out there buying the Bank IPO's, I see this now past the maturing process of the firs wave.

Maspeth is so small and the allocation would probably give you just a few shares, since everyone is now coming on board.

An bad info being given out there by people who don't know anything,
like Apple and Roosevelt going public, sounds like chit chat and nonsense.

I would look at Roslyn, the IPO money they got makes them a fat cat for takeover, and is a relatively cheap bank stock at 23.

I 2 would like to know if there have been any truth to these cutoff dates rumors in the past, ie. Independence, Richmond County, Staten Island Savings, Roslyn, etc... If anyone has any experience with these, pos. or neg. please let us know.... perhaps these ipo's have just become a hot subject, so we will probably have to wait to 1999 to find out...
