I have worked on two projects that utilized Orbix middleware, at BellSouth and at Boeing. On both projects I found that everyone using the product had only good things to say about it. The same goes for Iona, they have top-notch support and customer service. I'm sure many investors were hesitant to buy IONAY given the great CORBA vs. COM debate. Licensing COM was probably a great move by Iona, it ensures that IONAY will not be perceived as a competitor of MSFT by the "Wise" on Wall Street.
