SG:

>>M. Murphy still says they will announce deal by April 15<< .

I a little perplexed here; which year is MM referring to? :)

INSV likes to issue meaningless press releases about its science, to mask its total inability to come out with products. In early January, Kumar said that a low-cost genetic kit for glaucoma would be ON THE MARKET by year end 1998, admitting that the company was unlikely to ever do anything with its 2 earlier products. Pressed for details as to how this would happen, he said it was very complicated, and was a deal with multiple parts in multiple markets and that all of the pieces had to come together at once for it to happen, but that he couldn't say anything more about any of it.
