To All:

We all probably know by now that QSound Labs had a disappointing day today. Starkey Laboratories, the firm that was to produce the Cetera hearing aid, opted to change suppliers for their digital H/A so that they can have a better and more efficient unit that takes less battery power. The delay is expected to be significant:

I have posted my concerns regarding the delay on the QSound thread:

Currently I would put this into the "Dead Money" category. Without the Cetera to drive earnings, I no longer have an interest in this issue.

My sincere regrets to those who may have purchased the issue based on my bullish outook on the issue. Given another case with similar risk/reward characteristics, I would take the risk again. This delay was the one Wild Card that I was betting would not be played out, and it was the only Achilles Heel to the operation.

I had leveraged my position in the company to a significant extent portfolio-wise, and therefore took extra care to watch every possible development on the chart (and on the fundamentals). Let's just say I was holding a Soros-type position. I more than anyone had more to lose...and was fortunate to have come out in respectable shape.

For the action that we experienced today, I am surprised that there was very little response or rage directed toward me. Let me know. I want to hear it.

Regards,

Rainier
