ibis.....

although not mentioned onsite, the 10k is a far more
important indicator, very true.

it is very interesting, this non-mention, especially
when you consider the international potential to aware &
anyone ( see onsite corporate intro) for huge revenues...
i haven't seen much about aware's non-domestic presence.

that is why i mentioned alcatel....but compaq would be an excellent
missing piece, to combine with lucent's international inroads.

First, I didn't say this _was_ a "fall back" position for Lucent, I said it _may be_ a fall back position. Clearly there was no big up-front payment, or that would have been disclosed. If the license terms are $x per modem sold but with no minimum payment, then this would clearly be material enough to require disclosure, but is no guarantee that LU is actually going to use the technology.

I still think it is INCREDIBLY interesting that this LU connection (no pun intended) has not been revealed until now.

Do you have an opinion as to why AWRE or LU did not put this news out in a press release? A 10-K seems like a strange way to make the news public.
