my issue? i got stooped out.. and am out of the market except for a small investment in a company(that i went long on- not a usual move for me) I believe the power of the internet will become tremendous, but that there are plenty of gullible investors... There are few credible people out there... one of the more improper moves was committed by one on this board, and for such action i would not follow his posts, because they are indicative of his actions, and the actions of pump and dump(ers)... it does happen.. infrequently, and everyone likes to buy a stock that is moving up... the stock market has always been a game where the analysts state buy buy buy and sell into it... so it is no mystery to me that it is being done on a small scale here, it works on thinly traded stocks and there are boards here that influence such things.. the "56 blunder thread is one thre" i have stayed away, as one of the companies was based 15-20 minutes from my house, i offered to go and ask questions( which means putting on a suit and spending valuable time with high management- i gave them a week to get me questions~ their questions weren't suitable or cogent, and i was berated for not going) Their lack of knowledge as a group led me to believe that they were just playing games and had little knowledge of the companies they were touting, buying before they were posting, and i do not play that game... i used to post all of my options ideas on my action and options thread..(read the opening paragraphs, check the stocks and their prices today) options are even thinner than stocks and my options prices would soar before i could get in, maybe because someone was mirroring my trades, or because there was speculation from other players from SI, either way i have been fairly successful in options, without having to post about it here. be well. taxi
