Over a billion a year ???? i am not sure i understand your statement but there is not a fab in California generating that kind of billings---I am not even sure they have a fab there?

Mike, can't answer your question on Silicon Systems (SSI).

Not sure what their expected sales are or how they fit into TI's picture for 98.
I heard SSI is only at 20% capacity today.

They recently had some significant scraps causing millions in losses that irritated some customers. Not sure what impact this will have long term. Tape drive slow down is impacting them somewhat today, as well as what you mentioned according to the people I talked to.

TI's a solid company. If there's a weak link at Silicon Systems, they'll identify it and eliminate it.
Hopefully it doesn't cause to many unexpected disappointments.
