Hey John,

I noticed something similar. When I initiate a trade by clicking on the green square next to the ticker symbol from Porfolio Summary View, I get the "you have x uncommitted shares" message. When I initiate a trade from stock watch or any other screen, it doesn't let me choose which shares I want to sell. I notified E-Trade about this problem and they said they would let the people who monitor these types of problems know about it. Hopefully, it gets fixed, because there are a lot of us who own a core holding in shares but daytrade the stock with short term shares, but we still want preferential tax treatment on the core holding.

(Not that I own any IOM anymore). Anyway, good luck!
