Jeff,

I see your point and I certainly agree that Craig is a scrapper and will do a great job as 'The Man". I am just a little disappointed that he didn't jump in when Bob Levine stepped down. I think that Reed just came to the conclusion that he was over his head and realized that Craig knows the inside and out of the business.

I have spoken to a few individuals that knew Don Reed from his NYNEX/Bell Atlantic days and they indicated that they didn't think he was up the challenge of being the top gun in the networking business. I don't know about that but I thought it made interesting conversation.

Cheers,

Steve

Jeff,
.

He had the same survival ability and alignment with shareholder's interest while the company was tanking. And he couldn't do anything to turn it around then, what makes you think he can now? Maybe he can put everyone back in fatigues and attack Cisco again.

This move sounds like another "Ourway or the highway" business strategy made famous by Benson and Levine. That strategy failed, before.

I am sorry for us shareholders, But , "He ain't da' man."
