Hi Maverick and everybody, let me first present myself, I am from Europe, I have been lurking this thread for more than one year. I am long ASND and I have added more shares recently. I use technical analysis to buy/sell. I have not yet participated to the thread because I have no technical knowledge of networking and I was also very busy. In the future I will try to give my own input. Here is what I found on Bloomberg (from April 1): analysts expect Alcatel Alsthom SA to soon spend money to extent its own business. Alcatel raised USD 2 billion selling part of its engineering venture GEC Alsthom this summer. Salomon Smith Barney Douglas Smith (and he is not the only one...) expects Alcatel to buy some networking companies. The names mentioned in the article are Xylan, Bay Network and Ascend . Any reaction/confirmation on this news??? Regards, Richie3
