RE their picks: I think most of them suck- they're ok if you're a momentum trader. For real business value I sold AMTD after a runup and bought SWS as much better value (mydiscountbroker)- egrp is really overpriced too. Stick with the companies doing encryption and e-commerce.
The semis were up 3% today even though they have a bleak future.
My collection of brokerage stocks are up 18% in the same time. For my money, I'd rather buy a brokerage stock than an internet stock knowing how well they track each other. If you must buy, buy an internet brokerage because they stand a good chance of being bought by a big bank.

Brian: re internet stocks: forgot to mention two that are foreign stocks, they are much better values.
OZEMY and BHIKF may have much upside even though they've already had nice runs, do buy on dips. BHIKF is set up with offshore internet trading so non US citizens can directly trade US stocks.
