Frank, I believe this forum has been a bit unfair in it's bashing of John Kaiser (JK). Just a few thoughts: 1- JK has done more for the Alberta Diamond play than anyone. He has been urging his subscribers to get actively involved (ie, buy) for over 1 year. In addition, he has been recommending ACA for over 2 years. If any of his subscribers don't own stock(s) in this diamond play, I wonder why they subscribe to his newsletter. J.K. is the #1 cheerleader for the Alberta Diamond play. His latest issue includes 20+ pages on diamonds. 2- As any longtime subscriber to JK knows, this is not the first time he has taken a stand against insider info/leaks. He has been "lecturing" his subscribers for years about the BS that goes on in the Canadian exchanges. The regular guy (like me) always seems to lose out to the insiders or owners of large blocks of stock. If these exchanges would clean up their act, more people would invest in these type of stocks, and ACA would be at $6-8, not languishing at $4. Due to the fact that most of his subscribers own ACA/PUG, it is only natural that he would inform his subscribers of the "leaks"- it helps them manage their investments, especially since previous Trackers indicated ACA was keeping a tight lid on the results. I thought the Tracker was more about leaks (ie, PUG), than you Frank. 3-IMO, the internet is not much of a threat to his subscriber base- however the tanking of the Canadian markets and the low POG is. JK was the first newsletter writer I know of to do an article on investing via the internet (he thinks it will help us small investors, but at a price- check out the KRY thread). It was complete with a review of the sites he thought were worthy (& not worthy). He is pro-internet, not anti-internet. In conclusion, I think the Tracker was not so much about you (I do enjoy your posts and hope you continue to post), but about the inequities of the Canadian markets in general. More specifically, the inequities (leaks) in a stock which has a large following (ie, ownership) by his subscribers. He was simply trying to inform and educate his subscribers. As a subscriber, I can't ask for any more or any less. Gordon P.S. To others: JK is honest almost to a fault- please don't lump him in with other writers who take stock optons, etc, to recommend a stock. He does incredible amounts of research. If you ever read him, you would know what I am talking about. Sorry about the long post.
