re Taxes and Trading For Non IRA accounts you are 100% correct, of course, as I learned when I figured out what I had to pay on the KO that I sold (and that was supposed to be a "forever hold" but I got talked out of it by some IBD smartie at an after lecture discussion!) The tax effectively brought my share price down to a level I would NOT have sold it. I have printed your message, I'll hang it next to my "Do not sell Dell" sign above my computer! Thanks! Freeus Analysts are something: one of the radio analysts told a caller to sell Lucent a few days ago, and take profits. The caller called back today complaining that it seemed to still have steam. The host said"Well I havent sold yet, it really isnt giving a sell signal!I wait until it starts going down. Its the bluest of the blue chips!" Wonder what that caller thought!
