Dear Eric: I dont know the answer to your question. But I have the highest faith in David House and his Integrity. If for some reason there was significant bad news out there, he would tell us IMHO. Bay is not a stock for the impatient. It will have its day again one way or another. JDN

Eric, I do very much believe that earnings of $.10 are in the stock price now. However, I am worried and was worried even before the SV report that (operating) earnings are going to be light. I'm looking for $.07-08 so anything above that will be a relief to me.

Vepoc, I agree with you that possible buyout is not factored into the current price. Look at ASND. I have to assume that takeover is part of its valuation right now. I remain mystified as to ASND's value compared to BAY.

When BAY was a little stronger I sold April 30s because I simply have to be paid to hang in there. I was assuming that it would trade in this mid-20s range until the outlook clears. So far, so good. I don't really want to be called out. I'm hoping to get a few hundred more shares if we visit the low 20s.

What bothers me the most at this point is CSCO guys saying, what do you mean you want Layer 3 and GB ethernet? Why, you don't want that. There're no standards yet.

Re "is $.10 in the stock price" is not the key issue that will affect the stock price. Sounview's prediction that the sales cycle for Accelar GB will be longer than Bay thinks is the most important variable going forward into the next(current) quarter, IMO. I don't see how Bay can make the record quarter they anticipate without that product line performing as planned. Missing this quarter by a few cents will not be an issue if, as I previously proposed, Dave House tells everyone on the conf call that demo sales are rapidly turning into revenues.
