*AV*--Trader X- I guess I must have missed your private email message regarding the tech run up. Please resend to me. I went through my message archives and could only find the following messages which I have excerpted. Possibly the message did not get sent. Sometimes I forget to hit the submit key after the preview<GG>. To: Andrew Vance (who wrote...) From: Trader X Friday, Mar 27 1998 12:11AM EST I'm stunned by CYMI's quarterly, in that their margin is sinking fast. Sales can dip, shipments can be pushed out, but shrinking margins are a friggin coffin nail to share prices. I hope that isnt happening to ASYT! psst! This rumor is about that ???? may be bought by ????, but it's been out for a while I think, just look at the price of ???? the past 2 months. you might want to check it out on the ???? thread and see if anyone bites. X To: Andrew Vance (who wrote...) From: Trader X Friday, Mar 20 1998 12:20AM EST We're about to take off again soon with our shares in CYMI and ASYT, among others. This week was a nice rest for them... The rest is history. Actually, my interpretation was that you might have been getting bearish not bullish relative to CYMI and ASYT. I hope your more recent message to me was more of worrying than a selling statement since both have perfromed real well (>15%). In terms of NVLS, I never said not to buy nor did I recommend to buy. I still stand behind my comments of HOLD HOLD HOLD since it was directed to those individuals that had already purchased the stock and might have been tempted to sell for profits on this run up. I was basically answering a question prior to it being asked. Since I am the advocate for taking profits when presented and taking 10-20% when it occurs in the short term, I wanted to make sure that I was on record advising that a conscious disregard for this philosophy and exception to the guiidelines was in order for this particular stock. In terms others have used, this is a case where we should all allow the profits to run on this stock for a little longer. I have no problem or conflict with your BUY recommendation since there is no conflict in our comments. Everyone knows that I buy on the way down, average down, and very rarely buy into a run up. If I didn't already have as many shares as I have, I might be tempted to buy into this run up but I would be looking for a slight retracement given the huge pop it took. So I want to be clear, anyone who got into NVLS at the lower prices like me should consider letting their profits run a little longer in this particular case and not to be tempted to take the money and run. I am personally making this departure from my guidelines. Andrew
