>>At least you didn't sell everything!<<

No, but I sold a lot of the good stuff. I was sitting all afternoon calculating and recalculating my opportunity cost. When my head started to throb, I went for a run.

Now I'm looking at this as an opportunity to reconfigure my portfolio (albeit at a higher basis). I'll be spending some quality time with the charts as well as the numbers tonight working out my choices. It still is a candy store.

Ron - in investment one has to be nimble. The charts are useful when the time is right. Equally, they are not useful when the time is not right. The key is for one to recognize the market condition when charts are useful, less useful, or not useful. <Paul L - please, no response to this from you because we already know your answer>.

I'm going to take a long hard look at the charts tonight (maybe for the last time) is too drastic. Don't throw it away. Think of the formula of winning as:

Winning = chart + market condition + luck

Just saw Big Dog post. Similar message. If you find your sentiment swing post, glue it to your site. It's a keeper for all. Again, I want to thank you so much once again for your hard work in keeping up your website. It is invaluable!

Ron, you missed out on a 4.5% move in the OSX. Big deal! Many of these stocks were down 40% or more from their highs just a few months ago. So now they're down only 35%. And who says the highest these stocks could go near-term is back to those same highs? I think the will go a lot higher. All we saw today was a little market spasm. The sector has yet to flex its muscles in a big way!

Do your psyche a favor. Stop trying to outguess the beast. You got into this sector because you liked the fundamentals. So just stay long until you don't like the fundamentals anymore. You don't need to be adroit, and you don't need to be lucky. All you need is patience. That and an occasional martini.

Regards,

Paul
