Ron -- Don't be so glum about your TA stuff missing this action this time. It really only goes to tell you that some things work some time. Nothing works all the time or it wouldn't work.

Any method you pick will work some of the time. The key to success is to not be afraid of taking a profit, having a sell discipline, and not to be afraid to buy a stock as it goes up. (IMO)

I think some people use the varied methods just because they HAVE to use something...(sorta like religion...folks feel they HAVE to believe SOMETHING). The Big Dog simply wings it based on what I see going on around me. I guess you could call that fundamental, I don't know.

I just sort of take in all that is happening and digest it into stocks to buy or sell. I hate to sell good companies, but I have and will continue to do so for short term profit.

I think these are ALL good (except I wouldn't buy HMAR) and will have a steady upward bias for the forseeable future. Great environment for covered call writing, eh Steve? (I have some FGII 30 puts I sold that look much better today!)
