Hey, that's pretty good trading, managing to short right at yesterday's high and cover during the brief time this morning AMD hit its lows. Congratulations.

Too bad you didn't cover that other short while you were at it.

AMD closes at 29 15/16, UP 7/8.

Have to agree with you, though. From a technical standpoint, its not a bad short right now. Still, its a very dangerous one.

Kevin

Covered 29 1/2 short at 28 3/4.....nice profit...AMD still a great short candidate...oversold RSI
indicator...

Vinman,

According to IRS tax rules, trades must be reported in a first-in-first-out... This means you lost $5 15/16 (original shorted at $22 13/16 and covered at $28 3/4) plus commissions. Furthermore, your $29 1/2 shorts from yesterday is now 7/16 underwater (closed at $29 15/16 today). I don't know what are your logics. I never like average down. Why throw good money after bad?

By the way, I forgot to thank you. I bought more cheap shares at $22 1/2 and 22 13/16 last week. I don't know if some of the shares from the second block came from you. Is so, thanks a million. <ggg>

The Vinman
let me see;
you shorted at $20
then you shorted more at 29.5 (perfect timing considering that you gotta be a broker to sell at that price today)
covered at 28 3/4

ok, you lost 9 or close to %30 but you made it up in valume
