Level II quotes shows the price and bid/ask size of each Market Maker and ECN. So I can see who is on the bid or ask and who is next in line. I use this will time and sales. I can basically see who is buying and who is selling. If a Market Maker like Merrill Lynch is buying it can be for a customer or for is own account or part of the market maker function. Based on patterns I get the feel if it is a large order. Again ML was supporting the stock all day. Buying
