Their gross margins don't look high enough for this to be the case. Their variable cost per Zip is probably much higher.

I would think that if Iomega were able to lower Zip prices significantly while not losing too much money, they would have already done so. Standardizing Zip soon is very important, but I'm afraid Iomega isn't able to do the price cuts now required.
