Aren't you paying attention? LGND is going to triple digits RSN.
Why are you waiting? -- Time is running out. If the Big Boy are buying (and never selling), what more do you want? Did you miss the post that lgnd will earn .84c? Since you were happy with your mistake of buying 2x as many shares as you really wanted, why are you waiting to double up again? Come on -- Even CTSL is calling LGND a buy -- you have tons of people to blame if it doesn't work out!

-- Just do it, and try to think for yourself for a change and make a decision w/o getting everyones opinion (of course, then you won't be able to pass the blame for your mistake on to someone else.)

Please let us know if you buy today.

I think you received a very clear answer to the above question, although it sounds like a two letter response would have been just as accurate and saved some bandwidth :-).

I read an interesting observation about investing some weeks ago. There are just two types of investors. One type looks at the 52 week low list for his investment candidates the other looks at the 52 week high list. I am more of a guy who looks at the 52 week low list. That does not prevent an occasional foray to the high flyers. I bought most of my Ligand shares reasonably close to the lows but I also bought quite a bit of high priced shares during various rallies.

I bought my latest shares immediately when Ligand announced their 6 to 8 week delay of the Panretin NDA filing. My idea was that the delay would give Ligand shares the necessary time to reach a new 52 week or all time high at the time of the filing without resorting to a dangerous and usually short lived price spike.

Since in the overall view of the biotech industry and the stock market Ligand still looks undervalued at current prices the long term price risk seems limited.

But I am perfectly aware that I can expect a few more 50% corrections while I keep holding my shares. I just don't know if the next correction will lead from $16 to $8 or from $40 to $20.
