Rick, It is not my intent to compare companies, I hold both for different reasons. I however do not really want to debate and compare the companies, since whenever I mention FTEL, you know who usually makes an appearance.
As for NT, yes it is compatible, but it actually runs on a Linux OS, internal only, no fees for Linux, and X$ per unit for NT, so its is the smart move. But I'll leave the tech stuff to Temp, Frank Col. and Martin Smith to discuss,as I usually learn more by reading then writing<GGGGGGGGGGGGG>
There is plenty of room for both companies to make me and all who hold both, very, very wealthy. Rick as you more than most due to your diversification know that their will be MULTIPLE winners, as there already has been in this field.
I love DGIV, these past few weeks are what you dream of when you invest, I could not have not asked for anything more than it has provided. I discussed DGIV with several of the folks in WLV at the FTEL shareholders meeting, when I left for it, DGIV was .21 cents, a 1500% return on that thought, you can never dare hope for that kind of run, its been a PipeDream(Oh settle down you the the way its risen, not the company, duh!:-). This just doesn't happen.
BUT
That has absolutely nothing to do with FTEL,
I still got a feeling about this little thing called Co-Location<GGG>
It is really quite an enriching idea....
Ask Earthlink, they Co-Located from 8 to 59 1/8(nice day!) a share, in less than a year, so FTEL takes that idea and goes farther and into richer pastures(and I love pastures:-) with it:
EarthLink is Domestic US and an ISP. They did 79 Mill in Rev.s for 97. They Co-Located with WorldCom, UUNET, MCI, Pac Bell
FNET will be International and an ITSP. They will go after a 100 Billion dollar combined Fax and Voice market. If they capture 1% of that business in the next few years, thats 1 Billion dollars in Revs, yeah AAAALLLLLLL they did was sign a co-location agreement with WCOM, UUNET, MFS, and every other POP currently in the unbrella, 250 domestic, 250 international, reaching 80% of the worlds telephones, so whats the big deal?
Earthlink is the model, just apply it to a much larger scale....
<GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG>
Of course if DGIV captures 1% of that market its a BILLION dollars in revenues, in the next few years, what will its value be? Folks that is a decision, you need to come to, There are very large stakes and many players, if you own TWO companies that capture 2% of the market, you'll be in the house next to Jane, Drinking Margaritas, Coronas, Mai Tais, On the Beach, I'll be at Hapuna, look me Up!
But as the Fox has always said....
Endeavor to Preservere
and
Silence is Golden
So, I'll stay in a few pastures, Thanks!<GGGGG>
