AMD's run-up recently is very coincidental to new issues of shares. With higher stock price, AMD can easily command a large capital for the new and diluted shares. I really have to hand it to the AMD propaganda department. If indeed these guys have been spreading underground rumors about better yield and possible take-over, they have executed very well. Only the new AMD investors would lose a lot of money when cats are finally out of the bag.

John.

Mike - Re: "If I am right about this, then AMD cannot bleed forever. "

AMD can bleed forever as long as new investors buy newly printed stock from AMD - or bonds.

AMD has been selling bonds and borrowing quite seriously for two or three years - and now they are expanding that.
