I recall being told of the time U.S. veterans of World War I did not receive compensation after the war as the U.S. government had promised and pitched camp, literally, in protest around the Capitol Building.

This was, of course, not to be tolerated as Douglass MacArthur and a detachment of U.S. Army troops, many on horseback w/ Dwight Eisenhower numbering among them, routed the veterans in a sabre charge that resulted in the deaths of some of the people they once soldiered with.

I'm all for more democracy for the people of China. I also have no doubt there are "troublemakers" in Hong Kong. I can't wait to see what they make of the Xinjiang trouble, should push come to shove.
