Jane,

As I said earlier it is not my intent to upset or disgust you. I apologize if the conversation has been distasteful to you. Not that it should make a difference, but I can not remember actually discussing the subject of homosexuality elsewhere. It is not a topic that comes up. I brought it up as a question to you because I was honestly, and perhaps naively, surprised at the intensity of the reaction the subject elicited here. Whether you choose to believe me or not I am trying honestly to build a bridge of communication.

You ask why don't we also reach out to the child molester. Well of course we should. However that is a very clear case of a behavior that we should abhor. We should reach out to the child molestor with the love of Christ in an effort to lead them away from this perversion. That is an act of violence against innocent and unconsenting children. Homosexuality is an act amongst consenting adults of free will.

But the issue to me is not whether a persons actions or conditions repulse me. God can judge that. Christ set us out to be a light unto others. How can we do that if we revile them? We must go to them with love as an example of Christ's message.

It is clear the subject for the conversation which I chose upsets you. I don't wish that. Please feel free to change the subject. I questioned you but there is no reason you cannot question me.

Henry
