Random encouragement follows: Dcam chips! Minolta Digital Still Cameras w/res 2000x2000 and 11 frames per second? Will there be monitors to view this Quality- Possibly comparable to slides? At $35 bucks a chip for LSI, what camera will touch what Minolta creates in quality and price? Hotcakes I say! Do I short Fuji yet?

Ten Millionth PlayStation Game Console Sold in North America
Sony Computer Entertainment America Celebrates PlayStation Sales Milestone with National Sweepstakes
Thursday April 2, 8:05 am Eastern Time

FOSTER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 2, 1998--Sony Computer
Entertainment America announced today the sale of the ten millionth
PlayStation game console in North America.

Boosted by record-breaking sales in 1997, as well as remarkably strong
first quarter 1998 sales figures, PlayStation hit the ten million mark
less than two and one half years after its North American launch on
September 9, 1995. To celebrate this momentous event, Sony Computer
Entertainment America will institute a national consumer PlayStation
sweepstakes later this month.

''The 10 million milestone dramatically illustrates PlayStation's
overall dominance and popularity, and strengthens our growing
leadership in the burgeoning $5 billion plus North American videogame
market,'' said Kaz Hirai, chief operating officer, Sony Computer
Entertainment America.

''We are truly thrilled to reach this goal, and look forward 'upping
the ante' and continuing to exceed industry expectations.''

Supported through print advertising in national publications like TV
Guide, People, Entertainment Weekly, USA Today and Sports Illustrated,
and a dedicated on-line Web promotion, consumers can enter the
''PlayStation 10 Million Sweepstakes'' for a chance to win one of 100
''collector's edition'' midnight blue PlayStation game consoles and
one of 1,000 Dual Shock analog controllers.

In conjunction with this sweepstakes, Sony Computer Entertainment
America kicks off a nine-city West Coast mall tour to celebrate the
sale of the 10-millionth PlayStation game console. Mall tour attendees
will have the opportunity to win the ''collector's edition'' products.
All midnight blue PlayStation game consoles and controllers were
produced exclusively for the purpose of this promotion.

This announcement comes on the heels of another major milestone from
Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., the Tokyo-based parent company of
Sony Computer Entertainment America, Inc. The company recently
announced that as of February 5, 1998, cumulative worldwide shipments
of the PlayStation game console had reached 30 million units.

Sony Computer Entertainment America, a division of Sony Computer
Entertainment America Inc., markets and distributes the PlayStation
game console in North America, develops and publishes software for the
PlayStation game console, and manages the U.S. third party licensing
program.

Based in Foster City, Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. is a
wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.
