>> State's stocks grow 10.8%

By Donald Blount
Denver Post Business Writer

April 1 - A Colorado company that just relocated to another state, and a spanking new
mutual fund planning to be in Denver a long time were among Colorado's top-performing
companies and mutual funds through the 1998 first quarter.

The stock of Colorado companies grew at a rate of 10.8 percent, according to the Dain
Rauscher Rocky Mountain Index.

Atop the leader board was Coleman Company Inc., the former Golden equipment maker that
just moved its headquarters to Wichita, Kan. Its stock grew by nearly 92 percent for the
quarter. Coleman was far and away the growth leader, doubling the 46 percent stock growth
of United International Holdings Inc.

Technology stocks, up 20.9 percent for the quarter, led the way for sectors tracked by the
index. Technology companies accounted for more than half of the top 10 companies on the
Dain Rauscher list. ........................<<<<
