The Japanese govt just lifted restrictions on overseas investment. I don't know the precise details, but methinks that lots of Japanese money was held prisoner and is now making its way over to US markets. And for those of you who know the track record of Japanese investment in the US (business investment, that is), you may think of running the other way.
