to anyone else- is there a cheaper options broker than etrade which is $20 + 1.75 per

Don't forget the $29 minimum.

I don't remember who it was, but I saw someone's ad in the Investor's Business Daily with option commissions of something like $1.75/contract with a $15 minimum. I sent E*Trade an email asking them when they'd lower their rates to something like that and the reply went something like "Harump! Uh, well, we feel our additional services warrant a higher commission."

This may not seem like much of a difference but with a $30 minimum you really can't do the couple of contracts that small fry like me would be dealing with. Sixty bucks on a round trip is a killer.
