Concentric Network Launches IP Voice Services Targeted at
Network Carriers And Resellers Concentric Now Offers
Aggressively Priced International Long Distance Service <>

April 1, 1998

CUPERTINO, Calif., March 31 Concentric Network
Corporation (Nasdaq: CNCX), a leader in IP network
innovation, today announced at "Voice on the Net" the
availability of low-cost, IP-based international long
distance calling services for carriers and resellers.
Concentric's Carrier IP Voice Services deliver
aggressively priced, toll-quality international
phone-to-phone calling to more than 200 countries
around the world. The new service is targeted at
facilities-based carriers and switch-based resellers.

Concentric Network has joined forces with a consortium
of industry-leading Internet Telephony Service Providers
(ITSPs) from around the world to create an international
IP voice network that provides high quality, low cost
international voice services over regular telephones. The
consortium has deployed IP-PSTN voice gateways
designed and manufactured by OzEmail-Interline(TM).
As the exclusive U.S. affiliate of the Interline consortium,
Concentric Network will gain access to
OzEmail-Interline's recently announced refile hub
arrangement with Teltran, enabling the company to offer
low cost international long distance calling to virtually
any country in the world.

"Leveraging the ubiquity and cost-effectiveness of the
Internet, as well as the quality and reliability of IP,
Concentric Network is able to offer extremely competitive
international long distance rates to carriers and
switch-based resellers," said Henry R. Nothhaft,
chairman, president and CEO of Concentric Network.
"This is another significant step forward in Concentric's
evolution toward an integrated communications
provider. To complement this offer, later this year we
plan to introduce IP voice services to the enterprise
marketplace."

To take advantage of the carrier voice service, a
customer must install Concentric Network's dedicated IP
access facilities and all the necessary voice gateway
hardware at their switch location. The customer
maintains full management and control of the
international long distance services provided to their
end-consumers. As part of the service, the customer
receives a monthly call detail report itemizing all the IP
voice calls routed by Concentric. In addition, Concentric
can tailor volume and term commitments to meet the
specific needs of the customer's business.

Besides offering this service to carriers and resellers,
Concentric Network is now terminating IP voice traffic in
the United States from other ITSP members of the
Interline consortium. The company is actively seeking
carriers and resellers to originate voice traffic from the
United States to the rest of the world.
