Another possible explanation for all this post crash volume with no price movement is that the Funds are buying back their own shares.
Let's say Fund Manager #1 calls Fund mngr. #2 and says can I block sell my shares to you before the end of the quarter because I have got to get this position into cash, for whatever reason. Fund Mngr. #2 says sure I'll hold them for a couple of days and block sell them back to you at a pre-determined price close to or equal to what you sold them to me for. You will do the same for me if I need help, Right?--Right! Fund Mngr. #1 wants to keep his RSYS position, but needed to "dress things up in his portfolio before the end of the quarter. That is why a lot of the activity on that 4.2 million share tuesday crash was in the 24.5-25 range. The same range it has been in since Tuesday. The Funds didn't really care at what level this sell-buy flip-flop occurred, they wanted to continue their investment in RSYS. This means that maybe we are not getting huge short selling at this level, but merely stock repositioning. These transactions have the tendency to "fix" the market price until they are completed. Then any real buying interest should rally the stock. I hope.--Bill
