OJS, <<... it should be in their interest to continue this development to stay ahead of the competition?>>

I thought that jumping ahead of their competiton was the original motivation behind the exclusivity agreement with Faroudja, but now it seems that they are focusing much more resources on just staying competitively alive. They may yet do something with the FDJA chipsets and they likely feel that they have enough of a headstart that they can let the cost of exclusivity go and just pay royalty on what they actually sell, as you suggest.

Please note, all the qualifiers in the above opinion denote pure speculation on my part, but it makes sense to me. Now we shall see who else is interested in bringing HDTV to the desktop.

Regards,

Douglas

This is not bad for FDJA, S3 has has many problems in the past few months, lawsuits, missed product cycle, etc. Stock down from high of 18 down to 4 + and currently around 7. Curious to see where FDJA takes their product as it's related to video on computers.

Someone at the Yahoo thread on FDJA indicated yesterday that there were rumors about FDJA being involved with MSFT (assuming that this is what he/she meant with "BIG software company from Washington State").

I don't see the connection here? What could FDJA have that possibly would interest MSFT? Anyone?

Happy trading!
