Falcon,
Weeks is the only barometer you CAN use when playing a split. Options
are not buy and hold positions. I'm not totally clear on what your
perspective is. If you are holding securities in a long term buy
and hold mode, you certainly enjoyed the bump the stock usually
gets when it splits. That bump certainly flattens out though with
the passage of time. If you've bought a call for the express purpose
of playing the split you're looking for a money, not paper, profit
on a quick in and out. Two weeks, maybe three.

Its tricky business, timing is everything. As I was trying to explain
with my DELL experience, influences other the the stock and overall
market can rear their ugly heads. Hope I made myself a little more
clear.
