Under the current price movement, it is very possible that the investors might be over-optimistic about what the company is going to say during its CC. I wonder what is the downside risk if the management does not say something as optimistic as what the analysts predict. Great expectation is usually followed by great desperation. Think pessimistic.

petz , re. great day This AM's trading on AMD . In the first hour there was just over 1M shares traded , in the next 25 minutes another 1.5M shares traded and up to $30.312 . It looks like it is ready to blast through the $30 area , no doubt thanks to our helpful short sellers like Stockman. Brian PS if you are reading this Stocky , I hope you sre still not short, with this crazy market the upside on this stock is a long way off. If you think short term earnings will dampen buying , take a look at Ballard Power another one of my stocks . They have never earned a cent but the stock went from around $8-9 in '94 to $180+ (cdn) this year.
