George, the more I learn about this company the LESS I seem to know. As recently as last week, I had a conversation with "someone" who shall remain nameless, but we all know their name and who they are at S3. I was told that the "first" MSFT "deal" was (N/C)"pro bono" and that MSFT was "taken" with Faroudja tech. MSFT thought FDJA might become a future industry "standard". The implication was that the first deal was a prelude to things to come. If the implication of a future deal between S3's exclusivie Faroudja license and MSFT were to happen, this could be the greatest thing to happen to S3 since the Fab investment.

Now in light of this information, I don't have a clue as to why S3 would agree to Drop PC Exclusivity. I am at a total loss as to what they are thinking. All I can say is I hope its a master plan rather than master stupidity. Time will tell.

S3 & FDJA -- Could it be that S3 benefits more from this FDJA technology once being accepted more widely? Could it be that they may have already taken advantage of this deal? And, now it may appear that S3 does not see paying expensive exclusive licensing fees any longer!

FDJA bulged a little yesterday from this news coming!

Any comment!
