CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 2, 1998--Embedded Systems Conference
Spring--Osicom Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:FIBR), today announced that it has begun volume
shipments of NETPrint Pocket(TM) -- the first product to use the company's NET+ARM(TM)
network connectivity chip.

Announced in February, NETPrint Pocket is the industry's first 10/100 Ethernet pocket print server.
This product aptly illustrates the benefits of using NET+ARM -- increased performance and
functionality along with a reduced unit cost and footprint. Now users can have 10/100 print server
performance, without worry about spatial constraints.

NET+ARM is the industry's first complete network connectivity system-on-silicon. The chip allows
engineers to add Ethernet and Internet connections to their products. Unlike other connectivity
approaches, NET+ARM consolidates all the hardware and software subsystems onto a single chip.
Designed specifically for printers, the NET+ARM NCC model features an embedded RISC processor,
Ethernet controller, control logic, RTOS, built-in protocol stacks, web-based management, and a
complete set of printer and imaging applications. The pocket print server is built using the NCC
model.

"The start of volume shipments of NET+ARM-based products marks an important milestone in our
aggressive marketing plans for this innovative product line," said Cornelius "Pete" Peterson, president
of Embedded Networking Solutions Division of Osicom Technologies. "With design wins now totaling
twelve, NET+ARM continues to generate enormous interest from a myriad of vertical markets --
from industrial controls to point-of-sale systems."
