Market makers can force a stock down very, very easily. Remember, they are in control of the game. The public can put all the buying pressure they want into a stock but if the MMs won't let the price budge upward or if they are running out of stock, they will short or let the price drop on every little sale. You've seen it many times I'm sure...multiple buys don't move the price and then a sale of 1000 shares causes a downward tick. The downward tick begets panic and more sells start coming in. Voila! The price is down where they want it and they once more have all the shares they need to sell. And they will sell these shares into a rising market price to make their profit. It's really a very simple game when you control all the cards.

By the way, we are going to open up...perhaps way up this morning. NITE is on the bid at 1.125 and NAWE at 1.062 (Edit) Looks we are going to have a huge opening run this morning.
