SHOCKER

Datek now says that the entire checks order was misprinted at the printer's end. So "everyone who ordered checks is now delayed."(Their quote, not mine)

Is there anyone out there who is surprised at this development????????

I had been a satisfied customer of Datek. But
the following trade I had this morning bothers me a little:
I was watching a NASdaq stock which was in the process
of moving down. When the price reached 1/4 x 3/8 (I am giving
the fractional part only), I pulled the trigger, putting
in a limit buy order at 7/16 (this way if the price moved
up a notch I'll still get it). The order was excuted
instantly at 7/16, not 3/8. In the meantime the price
continued to drop, reaching 3/16 X 1/4. After checking
time and sale of that stock, I noticed that my trade
(excuted at 7/16) is surrounded by many trades at 1/4
(at least 10 before and 10 after, followed by some at 3/16...).

Anyone with similar experience lately? Note that I am not
looking for price improvement here. I am only asking for
excution at current ask for my marketable limit buy order
(with plenty of stocks being offered at lower than my
limit price).
