Like I said in my previous post, I would not short ITWO!

Oracle had an analyst day yesterday. Think about this analyst quote as you decide to short ITWO:

"i2 was very visible as one of the most important differentiators for Oracle's manufacturing product line... Oracle is also looking to i2 to teach them how to sell based on value, rather than on price or functionality... Oracle appears to be giving i2 the opportunity to energize much of its applications business, potentially providing more leverage than its previous, more limited partnership with SAP."

Who do you think is in control here?

The client-server trend of the 1990's is first about infrastructure (ERP) and now its about 'Decision Support Solutions'. Supply-chain management is what client-server computing is really about. The only question is if the same ERP players win in the SCM market. MANU management thinks its 'SAP vs. the World' and that MANU & ITWO are the two ways non-SAP ERP players can sell solutions. Oracle obviously agrees.
