I just received an investors kit. I read it and am very impressed with some of the articles that were included in the kit. Echostar expects to be profitable w/ 2.5 million subs which should happen in 1999. If they can pay off their debt and keep building on their "best in class" satellite offering, then this stock should roar. I'm leary on the Murdoch lawsuit. I'm leary that their local investment may hit too much government red tape. I'm leary that they can avoid "must carry" requirements...in fact, that scares me the most.

I have a two-dish system in Atlanta w/ Atlanta locals of NBC,CBS,FOX, and ABC. I don't have the other 5 or 6 independent channels that serve Atlanta, nor do I want them. I did not really understand the "must carry" requirements that the cable industry has to adhere to until I got my investors kit.

Nonetheless, 4 months ago, I was the most outspoken critic of this company. They have solved all of their installation troubles with my system and I am very impressed with their technology. My brother has DTV and I don't think it works nearly as well as my DISH.

I got an offer to buy some at 23. I've been waiting all day for it to get that low. I may have to bump my bid but I doubt it. This is a LONG term play.
