Profit growth and market skyrocketing. Japan/asia going down.
And Fed does not even mumble anything about "exuberance" to

Steve this is a great post! BUUUUUT:-) didn't you know the US economy is independent of the world economy? Who cares about worsening of the Asian crisis, that the US flagship export, technology, is significant to that side of the world. That SA is already starting to feel the effects of Asia (look at Barsil).

USA the country of Great movies (Titanic: certainly not by the standards of professional critics. But the public is never wrong!)

USA the country of the internet (AOL, YHOO, AMZN, and all the others: can some one check whetehr the market cap of internet stocks combined - search engines, AOL, AMZN, ONSL, and software stocks like AXNT - has surpassed the market cap of MSFT, GM, or GE?

USA the country of the US dollar.

USA the country where the SEC [an understaffed body offering salaries of 28K to starting auditors while private firms start them at three times as much!] keeps sec reporting fair!
