Weinstein: That's the way I see it too. Here I am watching stocks and doing small businees accounting and I am thinking I want the CD to test my accounting program to see if my client's books are going to be all screwed up or not. I am sure they want to know. Thank goodness they do not know about this yet or they would be demanding I assure them of no ptoblem or they go somewhere else who will assure them of that. But, do I have to wait for a patch to come out before I can assure them all will be OK? I am guessing, the patches if any could be offered as late as possible so the software vendors have as much time as they can get to sell later versions of the programs. I do not see them rushing out with announcements yet, that their software is non Y2K compliant. I see they CD as a test to tell me if I have a problem or not and if I do I can use it as club to demand a patch now and 18 months from now. I also see it as a test to tell me if the patch really fixed the problem or not. I will be one of the first to buy the CD and the sooner the better before awareness catches up with my clients.
