Andon, perhaps there is much ado about nothing on both sides here. I've been doing intra-day chart comparisons between Apple and Dell over the last few days; it's interesting to see that their fluctuations both in terms of direction and in terms of percentage gained or lost are pretty close. Sometimes it's hard to separate what movement belongs to the stock, what movement is caused by the sector, and what movement reflects the market as a whole.

Some related questions: Anybody have any thoughts about how clearly the market perceives Apple as primarily a box maker? Which is the more likely comparison (as a stock, not as a company), Apple vs. Dell or Apple vs. Microsoft? Is Apple successfully making the transition from being primarily hardware to 50%/50% hardware/software, as ole grampa Gil had hoped? Is that even a goal anymore?

Thanks in advance,
Michael

<<Close today at $26 3/4>>

AAPL hasn't closed at 26 3/4 since 3/19; today it closed at 27 5/16 and for the past few days it's closed at around 27 1/2.

FYI.

Close today at $26 3/4. Maybe there's a hole in the "proverbial floor"?

As you'll see from my previous posts Andon I'm fairly bearish currently on Apple. This "floor" will hold up until the results come out. Then it can go either way. So rather than a hole in the floor it's going to be more like driving off the edge of a cliff if they're not up to expectations. In the meantime I don't expect Apple to go anywhere.
