I guess what AMES has to do is find a way to get even more people into the stores during the first quarter of the year. I wonder if seasonal product mix might be the cause of the perpetual first quarter's losses? If AMES could ever just break even in the first quarter, it would add $0.28 per share to the year-end earnings. There must be a way, and I will ask this question of management at the annual stockholder's meeting in May.
