Back on the Ascend front. Joe Bellace at Merrill Lynch has released his Data Networking - Anticipated EPS for the March 1998 Quarter report. He is in print saying .26 vs. IBES (average of street estimates) of .25 vs. year ago .31.

He further writes:

"On a sequential basis, we are forecasting a 6% revenue growth to $310 million, reflecting 8% growth in the U.S. market and flat international sales of $80 million. In the frame relay/ATM switch business (about 44% of company revenues), we believe that 6-8% sequential revenue growth is achievable in the quarter. We expect positive book-to-bill ratio in the quarter."

I think the quarter is made when sell side analyst are writing it before the release. But we will know for sure in next week.
